Emerson, Lake and Board Games.

IM conversations with Yort always take a left turn out of the gate...

Me: Hey, I just found out that Keith Emerson and Greg Lake are playing down in Westchester. Want to go?

Yort: What are they playing? Football?

Me: No, Monopoly.

Yort: Borrrinng.

Me: No, no -- it's the Star Wars edition of Monopoly. And Emerson dresses up like a Wookie.

Yort: Sweeeet.

  2. Hey, I didn't say it wasn't stupid. Just that it's impossible to have a normal conversation with the guy. It's not my fault. Really.

  3. Believe it or not, I found it quite funny. I have a friend with whom I have similarly 'insane' conversations.

    Keeps things fresh, no? :)

  4. LOL @ the randomness of this post. Reading this is like watching an episode of Family Guy.

  5. Why does a mouse when it spins? A bicycle, because a vest has no sleeves.

  6. I resemble that remark!

  7. Now this conversation just makes perfect sense to me. Then again, I'm the one always taking IM conversations completely off track, just to watch the other person react.

Nice! This sounds like a typical dinner conversation at my house. Husband starts it off track, 11yo son runs with it, 9yo son introduces Fart, Poop or Boob, and 5yo son makes up a song about it, complete with head bobs and finger points. Me, I just go along with it as long as everyone is eating and not dragging their sleeves through the gravy.

FWIW, I imagined them playing Risk.

  9. My life is so boring. Excuse me, now I have to go see if any rock greats will be appearing (or disappearing) in my neck of the sweater.

Buckndi...I am crying! That was possibly the funniest comment I have ever read here.

Ok, this has nothing to do with the current post but I didn't know how else to get in touch with you to request your commentary on a commercial my husband and I saw last night. Please go to "www.shakeweight.com" You can see the commerical there. You'll see what I mean. You'll have a field day with this, if you choose to accept this assignment.

  16. I have to agree with the last Anonymous post here regarding the shakeweight website. Many words come to mind after viewing that site's initial page.....most of which may not be suitable for this web forum.

  17. I can't even comment on the shake weight. Besides, I think all jokes will pale in comparison to Ellen saying "it's working out muscles I have never worked out in my life." That is fantastic.

Some may feel squeamish about eating it, but rabbit has a fan base that grows as cooks discover how easy they are to raise — and how good the meat tastes.
