Another "feel good" Disney moment. Like when Bambi's mother died.

There's a new Disney movie out about dog sledding, and I've been seeing the previews lately on television. The movie looks really Disney-ish and sappy, except for one thing, and that thing is this:

What the hell IS that?? I am pretty sure it could eat an entire dog sled team in a single, flesh-rending bite. It doesn't look very fast, but I have to believe it would catch me easily because I would be frozen to the ice by my own pee.

Leopard seal. In which, the word "leopard" is, apparently, the important one. God bless Google.

  7. Oh my LORD! It took me awhile to realize that was a seal! I was sitting there thinking to myself, "What is a fugly dinosaur doing in the artic? Won't he freeze to death? And how did he live long enough to eat the sled dogs?" Sadly yes, all of those things were in my mind. Thanks fifi for clearing it all up!

  9. I saw that movie. It was called "8 Below" and wasn't too bad. It's all about how 8 Alaskan sled dogs get stranded in Antarctica and what they have to do to survive. No, they don't eat each other.
