Show Off

I needed to get ten bucks out of the ATM machine today, and when I got there I saw a receipt sticking out of the slot. Out of curiousity, I pulled it out and glanced at it.

It read:

WITHDRAWAL FROM CHECKING: $10.00

REMAINING BALANCE: $14,896.00

OK, person-with-too-much-cash, listen up. You have fifteen grand in your checking account. Next time, live a little. Take out 20 bucks and supersize those fries.

Also, take your receipt so I don't hate you.

  2. Haha How depressing damn. They probably got a large settlment from a fake slip and fall scam they pulled at the local Wal*Mart. See you're not broke, you're just honest.

I never understand why people don't take their receipts.

  5. because they obviously have so much money that they don't care what their balance is? Or they like to show off? Or I guess it's possible that they just forgot.

I'm paranoid. I always take my reciepts. I'd hate to have someone blog about my bank account. :)

  7. Hello? She, or he, has so much money because of not taking out handfuls of cash every ten minutes.

Honestly, sometimes I want to whap you upside the back of your head. Think! Obviously it was a Burger King or McDonald employee who forgot the receipt because their Blackberry was ringing. Mui importante.

  8. You missed an opportunity to sell that receipt on Ebay. Any poor fool on a hot date would jump at the chance to leave that puppy in full view of some unsuspecting chippie. Think about the impression it would make.
