Probably not going to win.

I apologize if anyone thinks this post is mean, but this little kid makes me laugh every time I see this ad. He has a look on his face like, "Yeah, I got no shot. Thanks, Mom."

Everyone is the cutest baby to someone, right?

he'll probly grow up to be all chisel-featured manhood, tho.

  4. I got taken to task at work today for voicing the opinion that all babies were hideous when born, and that people who claimed that the baby had the mother or father's features were full of it.

I stand by my claim. But I'm really hoping some photoshopping happened to that baby picture...

  5. The only aesthetic contest he'd win is the "My Kid Kinda Looks Like A Fat Asian Chipmunk" contest.

There are no cash prizes, but they do give you free won-tons and spring rolls.

If that baby is line to be a winner, I'd hate to see the losers.

  7. I'd tell you that that's mean, but every time I look at it I giggle.

I knew sumo wrestlers started training young, but didn't realise it was that young ...

not to make a blanket (pun not intended, i swear)statement here, but super cheeks must be an asian baby thing.

(yes, its clean, safe for work, all that)

He is definitely destined to a life as a suno wrestler! Reminds me of that Steve Martin skit "she has no neck".

  12. I actually think he/she is adorable! I would vote for him/her. He/she will probably grow up to look like a movie star too.

Geez, keeping up with gender inclusiveness is hard!

    And ridiculous, I know. ;)

    This baby is the cutest.

But maybe that is because he is mine.

The above comment was funny! Babies certainly don't really resemble parents as soon as they are born, I think it took my daughter a couple days or longer before we thought she looked like us lol. She really does look like us now but she's almost 5 these days...

  15. There's a chinese proverb which says:-
"There is only one beautiful baby in the world, and every mother has it".

I had a baby boy (well, my partner had it, but I'm sharing in the glory) last year and people were asking me on day one who he looks like. My response? "A cross between Winston Churchill and Ghandi". People say he looks like me, but I don't see it.
He is however, absolutely adorable, so maybe that's the resemblance they see... :)

He's cute but I think he looks like a 40 year old accountant. I could just see him in a little suit.

He's cute enough, just not what I would think of as "the cutest". And no, I don't have one yet to say mine should win, but I'll let you know in a few weeks...

  18. Of course, my daughters were the most beautiful babies ever! That being said, I've seen some babies in the supermarket that looked more like a sick Boston Terrier, bug eyes and all. They're so ugly that I've gasped. Reminds me of the Seinfeld episode when Kramer looses it in the Hamptons over "The BAAAAYYBEE."

New babies might become anything. A friend of mine had a child that at eight months looked like it wasn't fully cooked. Think Jabba the Hutt with a pink hairbow. FRIGHTENING child.

Is it just me or is the free egg roll joke gratuitously racist? Would it be any less unimaginative and more uncomfortable if the comment were about a black baby contest giving out free watermellons? Not to be a touchy dick about it or anything, but really.

The kid has a giant head and freakish cheeks (still cute in a cartoonish way, though). That's the funny part. It's not that he's asian.

By the way, am I the only one who was compelled, against his will, to go to JL's page and admire her icon in a larger format?

No... it's not just you. That very racist.

About the baby contest.. I am often surprised at some of the pictures that people enter. A modicum of perspective and some folks would actually hit delete rather than upload.

  23. At 57-years-old I definitely look more like my father now than when I was a baby!
Well ... at least I started out cute.

Poor little guy! It is damn funny, though!
One of my fellow PTO board members entered her baby boy in our local newspaper's Beautiful Baby Contest. She sent an email to every one she knew, begging for votes because he was "loosing badly" (her words). Sweet little guy but he is SO ugly, God love him. I don't know why in the world she entered him.
