I'm sure they're glad to have me back.

My first instant message of the day from the help desk:

Support: I forwarded you an e-mail issue. Yoonjie can send e-mail to Ming Ming but Ming Ming can't reply. I don't see anything in the logs. Any thoughts?

Me*: Yes. Here's my first thought - Should cartoon teddy bears be allowed to have e-mail?

*in my mind.

  1. If cartoon teddy bears are allowed email...I demand that my Barbies get their own as well.

  3. Perhaps Ming Ming's problem is not an IT issue, but rather the fact that it's difficult to type with paws?

  4. Turns out my instincts were wrong. Ming Ming is a duckling. KC, you still could be right though. It's also hard to type with webbed feet.

  7. bears and ducks are allowed to have email, but its read-only. which is sad really, because i was hoping for a response to my memo "where does water run, and what do you do in the woods?"

Very funny- careful because that response in my work environment would be enough to start the harassment procedures and sensitivity training for whole crew. Tracey

  10. Funnily enough, I actually knew an actual human named Ming Ming, but she said it was pronounced more like "Mimi"
