Update: I deposited the check today. It looked real. I don't know if it'll clear or not, but I'll keep you posted.

OMG, OMG! I am so excited for you! I would be refreshing my bank website like every 10 minutes to see if it's posted yet. It's going to be a Merry Christmas in the Virgil household!
ReplyDeleteSometimes they (scam checks) take two weeks to bounce. It posts to your acct, but then later they take the money back out. Just sayin'. Hope it's real.

ReplyDeleteI'd have opened a separate account to deposit the check so there was no comingling of funds, be they yours or the Phantom's. And if they disappear, they won't suction off any of your own hard earned dollars.
