My friend Greg is going off to start his own business and become a famous guitar maker, and this afternoon he brought a couple of his newest babies up so we could snap a few pictures:
They are truly amazing when you see them in person. If anyone wants to place an order, or maybe just wants to rub up against these guitars in an obscene manner, I will only charge a 10% commission to make either of those things happen.
His e-mail address is info at fealeyguitars.com. Drop him a line if you have any questions about pricing or humbuckers or any other crazy guitar thing.
Now pardon me while I go into my shop and throw away all my woodworking tools. They are obviously wasted on me.
Talented effer.
Very nice! I build guitars myself, but just as a hobby. I wish him the best in making a living at it! It's not the easiest of fields to break into. (hence the expression, "You want to know how to make a small fortune building guitars? Start with a large fortune.")

The top one is beautiful.....would he ship all the way to the land of Oz (down under)? I think I fell in love with that guitar and it could be a tax deduction for me too!
ReplyDeleteSigh...........as she longingly looks at the picture again......
Beautiful photography by you again.
How much?
ReplyDeleteYup, how much?
ReplyDeleteyou know what, I have no idea on the prices! I didn't even think to ask.
ReplyDeleteCrazyman, I thought that saying was for starting a vineyard.
Widget, I'm sure he would - and they're really just snapshots, but thanks!
Wow.
ReplyDeleteI. Am. In. Awe.
Those guitars are seXXXy.
ReplyDeleteHow do they sound? Can you play one and post it? That may help to sell them.
ReplyDeleteIt's probably a universal saying adapted to a variety of fields and markets.
ReplyDeleteDoes he have a website?
CMA
Not yet....he has been building and repairing them for years, but just recently decided to try to make a go of it. With an occasional piece of fine furniture thrown in.
ReplyDeleteThat turquoise one is a work of art!!
ReplyDeleteSweet!
ReplyDeleteMakes me wish I knew how to play something besides "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star"...
I'm with Alli. They look amazing (the first is SUBLIME). But how do they sound??

ReplyDeleteit's like guitar porn. wow.
ReplyDeleteon another note, when i saw that title i was totally expecting you to post something about this.
Amy, that depends upon who is playing them!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful guitars. My son plays guitar...we have 9 guitars lining our home theater walls, and a few more hanging around, not counting the 4 he has at his place. I never knew that there were so many different guitars and sounds. I'm sure there's room for one more. I'll pass his email on to my son.
ReplyDeleteLoving the retro Strat-style one. Yum.
ReplyDeleteBo Diddley
ReplyDeleteR.I.P.
I guess those guitars have been touched by human hands.....
ReplyDelete"Don't even look at it"
MGT, can you see the sustain on that first one?
ReplyDeleteOh, boy. My husband collects guitars. He'll appreciate this, but part of me is afraid to tell him! :)
ReplyDeleteDoes he have a website? Where is he located? I suppose I could ask him myself, but...
Holy crud. How long has that fancy new header been up there? I'm a total dork..totally didn't see it.
ReplyDeleteAnyhow..what was this post about?
Oh right. Guitars. Yes, I would like to rub up against one. The blue one.
Do you take credit cards?
Thank you.
BEAUTIFUL!! My husband has a heck of a collection - and those are some of the most beautiful pieces I've seen!
ReplyDeleteI got a cousin who would wet himself over those...I will have to let him know about your blog. They sure are pretty...
ReplyDeleteJV,
ReplyDeleteI build 'em too - he does stunningly beautiful work. If he's not already a member at TDPRI - tell him to stop by! (Not to try to sell 'em, but to show off his guitar porn. Beautiful work is always appreciated there. Sales there are kind of an undercurrent - just not out in the open).
