i'm terribly sorry for your loss. the frame you selected was exceptional too, i must say.
i know this is not the right place to say it but it has been a personal dream of mine to be the first to comment on your blog! at least once. yes, i'm one of those silent fan/readers.
I wish there was something one of us could say to make it easier to get through this. But anyone who's gone through it knows there's really nothing that helps. You'll both by in my prayers. God bless. P.S. I still hate people, but I'll make an exception for you.
I was telling a friend just the other day how odd it is that the most heart-felt tribute I could give her was on a blog that, even on a GOOD day, is of questionable taste.
Somehow it seemed fitting even though I know she would have kicked my ass from here to cleveland if she knew I posted her picture on the internet.
Just picturing her reaction to that makes me smile.
Sorry JV. This probably isn't the right place to say this but A's grandma looks kinda like Sharda and I wouldn't mind banging Sharda. I'm just saying. I wish she was reading your blog and getting pissed about you putting her picture up and then reading my comment. That makes me smile.
I'm pretty sure in that picture she is one false move from kicking SOMEONE'S ass to Cleveland. I'm all for it. She looks like she was an incredibly strong woman.
Give your wife a huge hug from this internet stranger.

ReplyDeleteBut your blog is not in questionable taste. It's you. You can be yourself on your blog and not put on a false face.

ReplyDeleteyour blog is an excellent place for this type of tribute. if she would've known how amazing this site is, she would've been proud to be honored here.
ReplyDeleteDammit, John. The least you could do is be inappropriately UNfunny.
ReplyDeleteAnd even though Sharda and I never met, tell her I'm sorry. Not for looking like A's gram, but for being the object of your mental banging.

ReplyDeleteand I think miriam just said I was of questionable taste.
But it's such a pretty picture. I bet she wouldn't be THAT mad. I'm so sorry JV.
