ReplyDeleteNo, they aren't all bad pictures. I did love the product, just not the pictures. Totally busted me, too. Actually the one of the hat in the store was really good, but you are right, the dark hats, need help. It is pretty common in the crafts for the pictures not match the fantastic-ness of the product. I wasn't just picking on your wife, was something that I've been noticing for a while. Thus another reason I don't do well in polite society. I can say the right thing in the wrong way.

Ha! Yes, I plan on reshooting the dark hats on a light background or at the very least messing with them in photoshop to increase the contrast between hat and background. It's ok, I agree -- some of them are craptastic. :)

Does she spin her own yarn? I have no idea what the terminology for that is. It would be fun if she had a little more info about the process (and terminology) and all the loving touches I am sure she puts in. :)

Yes, she will make one based on your hat size if you know it. They're pretty stretchy, but she's made some that are larger than the average melon.
ReplyDeleteps - yes, she spins. We are constantly doing things like visiting alpaca farms. I really thinks she wants one, but I have to put my foot down somewhere. And I prefer that to be somewhere other than in a pile of alpaca poo.

ReplyDeleteI Love the stuff your wife makes, I sew, but alas do not have any of the creative genes your wife has. I also live in Southern California, i would be able to wear 3 whole days out of the year. If I ever move or travel east in the winter I'll be sure to stop buy.
