Anyone on goodreads.com?

I just joined this not too long ago, but have sort of stalled on it. If anyone reading this is a member, I could use a few new "goodreads friends" to share book lists with.

Check it out if you get a chance and join up if you haven't already. It's pretty cool.

Me too! Are you on there as Johnny Virgil is Saratoga Springs, NY? I'm very new to the whole thing on there.

Yay thanks for accepting my request. Please don't laugh at my books though. I was trying to count up all the books I've ever read, so I had to add each individual Goosebumps book to my shelf. They still count.

I've been a member for awhile - enjoy seeing what others are reading, and sharing my love for books. Just sent you a request - it'll be from redfiana. Look forward to exchanging titles!

  10. I joined it a couple years ago, but it takes time, like blogs do, and I haven't been back in awhile. I do go in to read reviews written by two of my friends who do it regularly.

    Now I'll check you out.

    Sent request.

Re: Evernote - have you downloaded the companion software to your computer? I'm on a mac but there is Windows software if that is what you use. Not required, but it expands the functionality of the app. Everything syncs, your notes are stored on the Evernote server. Also, add the Evernote extension to your browser. I have it added to Chrome, Safari and Firefox. They have one for IE if you use that.

Now you are ready capture anything and everything with the click of a button.

As an example, I recently purchased a new car. Well, new to me :) Since it is blazing hot down here on the Gulf Coast I shopped online. I created an Auto Notebook and clipped all the car pages I was interested in. I also threw in reviews about the cars, images, everything.

Another example, my friend Sue is coming down from St. Louis to visit in October. That gives me plenty of time to find things to do while she is here. I'll create a Notebook for all that stuff.

Since I also have an iPhone I have the app on there as well. Everything I save and create is organized into notebooks and can be accessed from any device via "the cloud"

I figure since you are always banging around ideas and such for blog posts and maybe another book, you can use Evernote to throw resources together as they come across. Whether you are on the iPad or at the computer or even on you mobile Evernote will open with all your stuff completely synced and up-to-date. No cables, no iTunes or any other elbow grease required.

I am new to the program myself. But I really like it. I look forward to delving into it further and really seeing what more it can do. I know I am only scratching the surface.

Oh yeah, it is also linkable to Twitter so you can grab stuff from there.
